December 26, 2015

Just installed one of the springs (#1008 - 1½" size roller ball) I ordered in my Revlon model RV052 curling iron. It was easy & fit perfectly. I had also ordered the same size spring for a very old Revlon model RV031, which was not listed on your website. It was also an easy & perfect fit. Thank you for offering this replacement part and saving me some money. I will recommend your website to others.

I got your springs (#1005) just great. Took me all of 10 minutes to install the new spring. My wife has a Conair Infiniti 1-1/2” model CD109 hair curler. The spring on it broke and I was looking for an easy fix. A search of the internet brought me to your sight and I bought several of the 1” springs. I figured if the old one broke after only 3 years, then having a spare on hand would be smart. I remove the two screws that held on the spring arm. There are two plastic washers that users need to keep. These separate the spring arm from the main body so that you don’t have metal to metal contact at the union rubbing against each other. I then loosened the screw that held the spring. I removed the two legs of the old spring and threw them away. I then inserted your new spring using the same orientation as the old broken spring. I tightened the spring holding screw, and put back on the thumb clip insuring the plastic washer is between the metal parts. Worked like a champ and the spring was the right size. Like I said it too all of about 10 minutes to fix once I had the spring in hand. My wife loves having her curling iron back and I’m once again her hero. To her I can fix anything and I saved money. Thanks for the springs. I let my daughter-in-law know too since she uses Conair as well.

Got the springs (#1001) today and installed them. Sorry, but the name on my curling iron is worn off. It has a ½ inch diameter and the whole iron is about 12 inches.

Just Got the springs (#1005) today. Just installed them on a Conair Infiniti Pro. Work great.

Thanks,

Doug G.

December 21, 2015

I installed the spring (#1009) on a "Babybliss Pro" model BABNT150S. It seems to work fine. However, it was a bit wider than the original. No problem though. Just pinched it together making it a bit narrower. On the Babybliss web site it said it required an 1.5 inch spring. But your web site had me measure the original spring and according to your measuring technique, the original was smaller (1 1/8 ??). So I went with the measurement of the spring per your directions and it seems to work perfectly.

Bruce S.

December 19, 2015

Thanks for the help on this. The springs (#1001) we ordered worked fine after only minor bending to fit perfect. The curling iron number is the PLUG in GED model #TPC0810. It’s great to be able to replace the spring instead of buying a totally new iron.

Thanks again.

My curling iron is a Hot Tools. Model number 1102. It was really easy to replace the spring (#1006)!

Thanks!

November 18, 2015

The curling unit is my wife’s.

I received the spring (#1002) on Monday, November 16th. The spring appears to be of high quality and is exactly what I needed. The unit it was used to repair is a Helen of Troy - Professional - Model 1003.

It was a simple matter of removing the “stand” by pulling/flexing it out the screws that mount handle/curler to the heating unit. I removed the two screws to take off the handle and then loosened the screw that holds the secure plate that holds the two ends of the spring. I seated the spring in place, tightened the secure plate, replaced the handle and screws and re-positioned the “stand”. took about 10 minutes and saved me purchasing a new unit.

Thanks so much for your product and the efficient delivery.

November 16, 2015

Hi, I received the springs (#1002) today. Thank you so much for the quick shipping. It works like a new one. The curling iron is a Helen of Troy model #1003. I have thrown 2 of those curling irons away in the past, just because the spring broke. Little did I know, it could be replaced.

Thank you again and I will tell everyone I know about the parts.

Jackie T.

November 12, 2015

Thank you for the update. Actually my curling iron brand was already on the list which is how I knew which springs to order. I was very excited to find you on the Internet since I replace the springs regularly. However, only two springs come with the curling iron, so after replacing the springs twice, I had to replace the iron (and this type is not cheap). I have actually replaced my curling 6 times now, so having access to these springs is a godsend. Once I receive them, if everything works out I will definitely tell everyone I know.

Thanks again,

Stephanie S.

October 28, 2015

I've replaced many springs over the years (I'm a hairdresser)..this curling iron is a Helen of Troy Gold Series 5/8" iron..its comparable to a Hot Tools iron, but the springs aren't universal...clients don't seem to be able to figure out how to do it so they bring their irons to me. Hot Tools provide 2 replacement springs, Helen of Troy do not... (Spring #1005)

October 26, 2015

Thanks and it worked. The model is a Rusk IREC100S. (Spring #1005)

October 26, 2015

Thanks, my wife uses a Conair model CD82X. The replacement spring (#1005) fit right in and it works like a charm. Much rather make a repair like this than sink over $30 for a new one.

My husband, Ed, just fixed my curler. It's a Helen Troy, Model 1007, 1/2". With your replacement springs (#1002), I have been able to save lots of money with not having to purchase a new curler every time these springs break.

Thank you!

Debbie H.

October 20, 2015

Thank you. I am already in your list. TracyP in 2013 on the Chi list. I love that you sell these replacements (Spring #1002). I have owned this curling iron for about 10 years and just replace the spring about once per year. I’m actually surprised the curling iron has lasted this long.

Hi, thank you so much for the replacement springs (#1001) for my daughters curling tongues. They fitted like a dream completed task in maximum ten minutes. Not that I want any more breakages but if the other daughters tongues fail I now know where to come. Thank you so very much for a good product at the right price delivered in a good package at a reasonable delivery time. Wish you all the very best for the future.

October 13, 2015

I was so pleased that my curling iron replacement spring (#1005) arrived within two days. I have a "Helen of Troy" curling iron which I love. However, replacing the spring is a constant issue. I have a replacement curling iron and now I have replacement springs. It took two minutes to replace. I actually think the replacement spring is better than the original one. I will certainly be ordering more springs from you. It was easy and the springs arrived much sooner than I had expected.

Thank you,

Sandy M.

October 12, 2015

I have the Hot Tools model 1110 and it (Spring #1006) worked perfect for my curling iron. Because I didn't have another set of hands to help, it was difficult to screw the screws back in and keep it aligned.
Thanks for your help and I will defiantly share!

October 6, 2015

The spring for my curling iron arrived within two days, and my husband had it installed within two minutes. Your instructions for installation were easy to follow, and now I have a "new" curling iron. Thanks so much for your help.

I have a "Hot & Silky" 1" barrel curling iron, model # 234005, and I purchased item #1001.

I will certainly tell my friends about your website and how they can save money fixing the one they have instead of purchasing a new one.

Thanks,

Peggy M.

September 30, 2015

I received the springs (#1006) and installed it right away. My wife has used her iron about a week now without issue. Her iron is the Helen of Troy Professional Gold Series, model # 1006 with 1 1/2" barrel.

I've thrown away 2 other of these irons because the spring wore out. It's such a simple repair I could not believe that there was not some way to get a new spring. I found your site and was very happy to find how easy it was to figure out which spring I needed and how affordable it was. Shipping was not much but was more than the part was so I ordered 3 springs. They will probably out last the iron but that's the way it should be.

Because this repair is so inexpensive, I hope that your company is able to sustain itself and/or has other products to offer contribute to a successful bottom line. I would like to now about any other products you may offer.

Good luck and Thank you,

Bill D.

September 26, 2015

My curling iron is Helen of Troy, Model 1008.

The spring (#1002) was very easy to install and fits perfectly! I am glad that I ordered 2, as suggested.....so much cheaper and easier than searching for another quality curling iron. I have had this one for several years and I use it everyday, so I was happy to take a chance on getting a spring replacement.

I have attached a few photos. One of them shows the worn out spring in the foreground.

I will definitely share your web info with my friends!

Thanks!!

Thank you for shipping my replacement springs so quickly. Your model 1005 is working beautifully now in my very old Riva International Model RVS75NV. Although I could not get a close match to my old spring, I picked the model 1005 and installed it (with a little bit of effort, squeezing the prongs to fit into the part that holds it to the barrel).

I have included two pictures showing the old vs the new spring and what the Riva Intl curling iron looks like, Glad to know you are out there. It's a shame to throw away a perfectly working curling iron just for the failure of an inexpensive spring. (I have already told my hairdresser about your website.)

I ordered replacement springs (#1002) for my Hot Tools, Model 1101, 3/4" barrel.

I didn't have any trouble putting it in. I haven't fired it up yet, but the spring mechanism seems to work perfectly, so I can't imagine that there will be any trouble problem.

Thanks so much for this invaluable product and service.

Avanti Curling Iron
Here is a picture of the curling iron I put the replacement spring in I dont know the model number but it is an Avanti large barrel curling iron. My wife really likes this curling Iron she is able to make nice rock star curly loose roll hair. I ordered two springs from you the shiny spring I think number 1005 1" worked the best the other spring 1 1/8" was a bit to heavy. Attached is a picture let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks

Really wish I could tell you the make and model of my iron but no longer have box. It has hot and silky on iron if that helps. Ordered 1 inch (#1001) springs. Came in timely manner. Husband replaced quickly and easily. Works great! Will definitely share with others. Thank you!

August 6, 2015

I'd just like to let you know the springs are great!

We have 2 identical-looking Nicky Clarke irons (to use the US term). One is marked NCS55 and the other NTS006 but to be honest they both look exactly like the NTS049 listed on your site, except they are pale grey.
I tried both the 1005 spring (as recommended) and also the 1002 spring (which has more of a wheel than a ball roller and in that respect is more like the original fitting). Both were dead easy to fit and work a treat.
Thanks for being there and I hope you stay online for many years.

Installed my new spring (#1001) today! Worked like a charm! Here's the info yall needed:
1. Paul Mitchell Pro Tools Express Ion Curl XL, Model Number: C15NA, 1-1/2 Inch Barrel

2. Took me 5 minutes to install it, super easy & quick. Worked seamlessly!
So glad I found yall online because I bought my curling iron from my local salon & it was no longer under warranty so I didn't want to spend another $200+ on a new one.

Thank you!!!

I received my spring (#1007) today and replaced it tonight. My curling iron is a white and black Hot Tools 1-1/4 size. It was very easy to install once I found the correct size phillip screw driver. I am so pleased that I just saved about $60.00 on a new curling iron especially since my current one is perfect other than the spring!!! : )

Helen of Troy Old Style Installation
I ordered Spring #1008 for my old Helen of Troy curling iron, Model 1008. It just has a hole in the barrel for the prongs to fit in. It was difficult to get the prongs into the hole to point where I thought they were really seated, but finally tapped them in with tack hammer a bit and ball lined up with wear spot so keeping my fingers crossed. My only second guess is whether I should have ordered the #1003 spring. The length of 1 1/2 " is accurate.
Received my order on July 22nd.

Lynn B.

*** The older model Helen of Troy curling irons have a hole in the barrel instead of a clamp. The spring # 1003 is a Helen of Troy and Hot Tools spring. ***

The springs (#1005) I ordered from you were to fit 2 types of curling tongs.

First: Babyliss Type F18 Ref No. 2220

Many thanks for your springs and although they are not identical in size to the originals they fit just fine and have given the tongs a new lease of life.

July 4, 2015

The new spring (#1009) works fine and was easy to install. Glad I was able to avoid having to get a whole new iron. My iron is Palladium by Jilbere, model number JBPD150S
There are plastic (or Teflon?) washers between the handle screws and the barrel. They must have gotten brittle with age or heating and one of them snapped in the process of installing the spring. I replaced it with a metal one and it seems to be working fine.
Hope that helps

Eileen M.

July 3, 2015

Rec'd my two #1009 springs in super good time (we're traveling so had to get it while we sat in one spot)! My curling iron is a Conair Model CD82Z. I think the correct spring was the #1005, but my husband got the 1009 to work, it's just that it's very tight when I use the iron! (Sometimes husbands don't measure correctly! :-)

PS So surprised when I saw where the spring was shipped from, we spend every February in Canyon Lake! Beautiful area.

1. Hot Tools Model 1110

2. Installing the spring (#1002) was harder than I thought because I had to hold down the clamp in place to screw in the springs and the tension from the spring pushing back was hard on my hands. Otherwise, it went great and I can use my favorite curling iron again!

3. Of course!

Thank you,

May 26, 2015

I have received the springs (#1007) from my order and just wanted to let you know that the spring does fit in my curling iron after a bit of adjustment. The two ends of the spring are bent at a 90 degree angle and the old spring's ends are straight. So all I did was bend them and it fit.

I have an older curling iron from Dannyco Trading (Canada) Ltd, BaByliss, Tourmaline 500, Model BTM5075SC
Thank you for the opportunity to repair my curling iron instead having to purchase a new one.

May 14, 2015

Just a quick note to say that I received the spring on Monday and installed it. It is a bit more stiff than the original spring but that's OK. Better that than not strong enough to hold my hair.
So, all good news and confirmed 1001 worked! Thank you for your service.

May 14, 2015

I purchased item #1001 to replace the spring on my Power IQ White and Gold Series 1" curling iron. My iron gave me difficulty getting the screws out, but once I finally tackled that issue, installing the spring was quite easy and quick. I initially felt that the spring was much tighter than the original one, but it didn't feel strange after I used the iron a few times and became accustomed to it. It actually held the hair in place better as I was turning the iron. Over all, thumbs up! I purchased an extra one too, in case the same issue happens again down the line.

May 7, 2015

I received the #1005 spring the other day.
I bought them for my Conair CD302CS model curling iron. It took some gymnastics to be able to replace the spring, but in the end, success. This model had plastic washers that were a bit challenging to hold into place while trying to set the screws. The spring seems to fit pretty well, however, after I replaced the final screw, I realized that the spring was folded to the side underneath the handle. I had to undo one of the screws, push the hinge of the spring all the way to the holder and use a screwdriver to realign the top of the spring. I had to hold it in place while setting the final screw. All seems to be working fine now.

Thank you!

Whitney M.

I have an ION curling iron, model number 301196. It’s a 1 ½” barrel. Spring item # 1007 fits perfectly and it is very simple to install. Just a twist of the screw driver… it’s really that simple.

Thanks so much for offering a large variety of springs to choose from and at a reasonable price.

Thanks for asking for my feedback. My first recommendation is to not send this email until you are certain that the replacement has been received because I think most people will delete it or forget about it. Although I kept it to respond, by having the email waiting in my in-box it also reminded me each day that I still didn’t have the new spring and would have to do a pony tail again for the day. I also didn’t receive any tracking information, just a confirmation that the spring had shipped so that was a little bit misleading. The spring (#1002) is great, easy to put in and a major money saver since I have an expensive curling iron. The model I have is a Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron (1-1/2").

I also appreciate that the shipping isn’t more if I order 2 so next time I will definitely order an extra!

Taya J.

Hi. Mine is a Chi CH1031. It was easy to replace the spring (#1007). I also had to replace the screw that holds it down because the old one was stripped and that caused the spring to fall out. Love that I only had to replace the spring and not the whole iron. Thanks so much!

Got the springs (#1002) today. Took about 5 minutes to repair (three screws).
The curling iron is a Helen of Troy professional.
My wife thinks I'm a genius.
Thanks for providing a source for the springs.(good pictures).
A simple search got me to your site.

Hello, I received my springs in record time, THANK YOU!!! I wasn't sure which one I needed so I bought 2 different ones. The #1009 is the correct spring for my CHI model CA1035. It works BETTER than the original one.

Hot Shot Tools S510321
April 10, 2015

The spring (#1006) worked great on this Hot Shot Tools model number S510321 (SBS-510321)

Thank you guys,

April 8, 2015

I received the springs today...wow that was fast. I used the 1005 spring in a Conair Infiniti model # CD108FN, and the 1007 spring in a Babyliss Pro model BABNT125S.
Thank you.

Charles K.

April 4, 2015

I used #1002 on Revlon RV050 and it works.

Thank you!

Amilia C.

April 1, 2015

The curling iron brand is Helen of Troy, model number 1006. The spring (#1003) installation was super easy and a great way to keep an otherwise working appliance out of the landfill.

John M.

*** This Helen of Troy, model number 1006 is an older curling iron and takes spring #1003 which is a 1½" spring. The newer Helen of Troy, model number 1006 curling irons take a 1" spring such as a spring #1002 or spring #1006. Always measure your spring to make sure you get the right size. ***

March 30, 2015

I ordered these springs (#1005) for my wife's Conair Model CD-875 Curling Iron. This is the second set of 3 springs I have ordered. They work great!! and are easy to install. I can't imagine buying a new appliance just because the spring broke.

THANKS,

Paul K.

March 29, 2015

On March 14, 2015 I purchased a 1" spring #1006 for a Hot Tools' curling iron with a 1 1/4" barrel, model #1110. The spring fits perfectly, it's even better than the original spring.

Lori M.

4/7/2015 Additional Comments:

Glad to give feedback that helps everyone! FYI- I had ordered a new curling iron, same model for my daughter, the replacement spring that came with it is a little flimsier than yours.Your springs are a tad bit thicker and fit BETTER. So thank you!!!!!

Lori M.

March 28, 2015

I purchased the 1 1/4" spring (#1007) for a Chi model CA1038 and it fit perfect ! Took only 3 min to fix. Did need a 2nd hand to squeeze the spring and screw in the cap over the spring. Still very easy. Glad I bought 3 as daughter and friend own same model and I'm sure I'll be the one fixing when they break since I have spares now.

March 28, 2015

Spring 1004 I believe fit a Vidal Sassoon #VS181. It was no trouble installing.

Gary T.

March 27, 2015

I used spring #1005 for Conair 1&1/4" model #CD108FN

The video was very helpful.

I have not replaced any other springs at this time. I purchased them if needed for other curling irons.

I bought 4 of the #1005 as this was the 5th time I have had a spring has break on a larger curling iron. I have had this spring break on this Conair model 3 times in the past. The only seem to last 18-26 mos. Thank you for making this spring available. It is a waste to keep disposing of products that otherwise still work.

Here is my new and improved curling iron. The spring (#1005) you sent fits. A slightly longer spring would also work. The iron is a Babyliss ceramic pro model BABC100SC.

March 12, 2015

Thankyou for the good communication and prompt delivery. Took my girlfriend a while to remember where she had put the curling iron it took less than 5 minutes to fit the spring. Simply remove the side screws to take off the thumb plate ( thingy, not sure what they are called ) then loosen the screw on the spring clamp. Slide in the spring, tighten the clamp screw, and refit the thumb plate.

The model is a Toni and Guy TGIR1910

Hot Shot Tools
SBS-510324
The springs (#1002) arrived yesterday. Took 2 minutes to install one and my wife is very happy!
I have attached a picture of hers and unless I'm mistaken, it looks just like the one on your website.

Your website is amazing! It was the first one I looked at and once I reviewed it, it was the only website I looked at.

My wife's model is Hot Shot Tools by Helen of Troy and is listed on your website as: SBS-510324

I ordered an extra one just because. It beats buying a new iron!

Revlon curing iron RVIR1014.

The spring (#1007) was not an exact match; but close enough. The ideal size would have been 1/8" longer and the prongs were straight on the broken spring not curved.

My curling iron work again so thank you.

Lee S.

*** Spring #1007 is 1-1/4" in length with curved prongs. Perhaps customer should have ordered spring #1003 or #1008 which are 1-1/2" in length with no curved prongs. ***

March 4, 2015

I got your order today and the spring (#1005) works like a charm. I have an old-as-the-hills Conair model #CD11KT. It's my favorite curling iron and I so appreciate you guys having the springs for it. I had no trouble putting it on even though all the screws have seen their better days.

Thanks so much for the quick service. You're the best.

Carol D.

March 2, 2015

Thank you for your great, easy to use website and fast service. The springs (#1006) are for a Hot Tool iron, unfortunately the sticker with the model name/model number is gone. This iron is probably 6-7 years old...sorry we were of no help there. Installation was fine, 2 minutes and we were all set.

Thank you again,

Jude H.

February 27, 2015

Just reporting back on my spring purchase.

February 22, 2015

My curling iron is the Hot Tools NanoCeramic, Model HTBW46. I installed the new spring (#1002) in my curling iron last night and it seems to work fine. The “rolling” end of the spring was a little bigger than the original spring, but it seems to work the same and my curling iron works just fine. Thanks!

*** As just an FYI, when ordering I couldn’t tell the difference between your #1002 and #1006, so I just randomly picked one. Perhaps some more explanation on the website would help identify the differences.
Thanks and I will definitely be a return customer.

February 20, 2015

I recently replaced the springs on both of my Hot Tools curling irons. One is a 1” model 1181 & the other is a 1 1/4 “ model 1110. I ordered the #1002 & the #1006 springs & I put one in one iron & one in the other. ( I don’t think it matters which one I put in which cause they both take the same size.) They fit perfectly & my irons are just like new! I first looked on the Hot Tools website hoping to replace the springs because my irons are in great condition they just needed new springs. But you CANT seem to buy replacement springs, I guess they want you to replace the entire curling iron. Imagine that! I was so happy to find springs available on this website & I will definitely buy more in the future!

THANKS AGAIN!!

Doug A.

February 18, 2015

I installed the spring 1001 in Rusk IREC150SC 1.5" iron. The original spring was of a slightly lighter gauge wire and was also about 7/8" and not 1". The 1001 did fit with some finessing being stiffer but after a little use, its loosened up and is working fine. I did have to refit the spring after my first try to install it not getting the plate that holds it to iron quite tight enough for the spring torque; once it was tested – it swiveled to the side and the spring misaligned – so best to double check its very tight from the first. :)

January 30, 2015

I bought 3 replacement springs (#1007) for my hot tools model 1110 that is a 1-1/4 barrel curl iron. Below are two pics. First shows how new spring fits, a little off center because it's longer. I used and seems to work OK as it is tighter than before. Next pic is your spring in left and one that came with iron. While I did measure they are not exact and the roller is different as well as the diameter of the coil. I'll continue to use to see if it loosens up as quick as with the old spring.

January 28, 2015

I installed the spring (#1009) and it works great! It was a little tight at first, so I may could have gone with a slightly smaller size, but it has loosened up some and I’m very happy with it.

Wanted to send the brand of my curling iron, as requested. It is a Paul Mitchell Pro Tools Express Ion Curl.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,

Amanda J.

January 27, 2015

I got my curling iron spring (#1005) yesterday and my husband installed it last night. He didn't seem to have a problem at all installing it. My curling iron is Conair brand. I was so happy to find that I could order a replacement spring. I have thrown away good curling irons in the past not knowing I could find a replacement spring. I did purchase a new curling iron before I found out I could replace my spring. It will be my stand by curling iron if this should happen again. I hate the new one. It is much heavier than the Conair. I will order additional springs and tell my friends.

Patsy G.

January 23, 2015

I bought your replacement spring, item # 1005, for Conair models CD120 and CD116. It took less than 5 minutes to replace the spring. I ordered 3 spares, just in case, since I've had both irons for the same length of time. I'd like to suggest that you offer replacement washers, too. The ones on my irons are slightly convex. One had broken and one must have fallen into the black hole of my couch as I removed the screws and tensioner handle. It works fine without them, too.

Martha B.

January 23, 2015

Hello and Thank you for this product. I love my curling iron and was so happy to find your site. I have a Hot tools 1181 iron. I found what I needed, and ordered the #1002 spring. After receiving the new spring, I had no problem putting my curling iron back together ( less than 5 minutes). Now my iron is good as new!!

Thanks again!

Hot Tools model HPK45. No problem with installation (Spring # 1006), use a #1 Phillips (#2 is too large).

Ron D.

January 22, 2015

They arrived, yeah! And they (Spring # 1002) work. The curling iron I have is Hot Tools Model 1181.

Thank you,

Gale B.

January 21, 2015

A few days ago I received the curling iron springs (#1006). I ordered two because my husband and I had recently replaced a faulty spring with one we already had when I purchased my iron. I have not used the new springs I ordered from your company; however, they appear to be exactly like the one we installed recently. I’m glad I was able to find your website to order two more for future needs.

My curling iron is a Hot Tools Professional MEGA 1-1/4” Professional Curling Iron with Multi-Heat Control, Model 1110V2. The product information I have is dated 2002 and my iron is still working great!

Replacing the spring is not as easy as the instructions indicate but my husband is strong and was able to push the spring together under the clip.

Thank you for your assistance with my two new springs.

Best regards,

Gloria R.

My curling iron is Paul Mitchell Model C10NA. I ordered both the 1001 and the 1005. The replacement spring that fit best was the 1005. The ***1001 is a little wider and did not fit as well.

Installation was relatively easy, glad you had instructions on the website.

Very happy customer. Will definitely tell my friends about this.

Joanne C.

*** If you squeeze the 1001 spring's two wires together to fit into the clip it should work just fine. ***

Helen of Troy model #1003. Installation was quick, less than 5 minutes. So glad I was able to repair instead of replace my iron. (Spring # 1002)

Virginia W.

January 13, 2015

The #1005 springs work with my Conair 1-1/4" curling iron, model CD82, even though the 2 prongs are a little wider than the original. I had to squeeze them together to fit. I'm hoping this won't cause any extra ***stress on the spring, itself. I'm still glad I could order these replacement springs so I can continue to use my favorite curling iron!

Thank you!!

Phuong S.

*** There will be no stress to the spring; it's very common to squeeze the spring's two wires together to fit into the clip. ***

January 13, 2015

My model is CHI Curling Iron VC0012. The spring was ***3/4 inch and you did not show that size, so I ordered 1001. It did not fit properly, but I managed to compress it and get it back into the holder. The spring is kind of lopsided now, but it works. I do not know for how long though.

Gene R.

*** In the future we will carry the 3/4" spring; we are currently working on getting it. In the meantime if you need smaller spring, please email us at onlinesales@questmatrix.com before ordering so we can check our stock on a slightly shorter spring #1005 that is a little smaller than 1".***

January 12, 2015

You asked for a review of the replacement springs I ordered for my Helen of Troy model 1281. The old spring has a bent leg which held it in position and which it hooked around the end of the barrel under the handle NOT allowing it to fall out, as the new spring does. I'm sending you pictures of both springs together so you can see my problem the spring # 1008 you sent me, will not work. Do you have another suggestion for a replacement?

I had my son bend a short end on your spring which I placed into two holes I drilled in the curling iron which you can see. They should go into the larger hole on the left which would have given the handle better leverage to hold it down. As it is, it will stay in place but the spring lifts up loosing the tight spring effect a new spring is suppose to give. It's not perfect, but I will make it work. At least it doesn't fall out now. I'll keep the other spring for when this one breaks.

It's been fun trying to solve the problem!

Thanks for trying to help.

Toria F.

*** I talked with Toria over the phone and her curling iron is decades old. Toria loves her iron and wanted to make it work; we discussed various options to rig the spring so it would fit. ***

January 11, 2015

Thank you for the spring (#1002)! It is working beautifully.

(Answered the questions shown above)
1. I have a Hot Tools model 1110 with a 1" barrel.

2. I haven't got much to say here, but thank you for helping me save my beloved curing iron. Replacing the spring was as easy as unscrewing three screws, yet it saved me the expense of replacing a whole curling iron and the guilt about throwing it in the trash.

3. I will gladly do this.

Stephanie S.

January 5, 2015

Hi there – My husband just put a #1006 spring in my Hot Tools, Model 1102, and it works great. Replacement isn’t hard, but it works best if someone can offer a third hand. It isn’t easy to hold everything in place and put the screw in place too. Thanks for the quick response – now I have two good curling irons again.

Linda D.

January 4, 2015

Replying to your message about the curling iron spring replacements ordered. It fit perfectly (better than the manufacturers) in the Hot Tools gold 1.5 inch barrel curling iron model #1102. I have a drawer full of these $45 (on sale) irons that still heat but I ran out of springs and had to buy new ones over the years. Now I can buy additional springs for $3 instead of replacing the curling iron every year when the manufacturer's two extra springs wear out.

Thank you.

We ordered 1 inch sized roller ball springs (#1002) on Dec 8th.

Erin F.

January 2, 2015

The new spring works great. Ordered the #1006 spring to fit our Hot Tools model #1110 curling iron. Works like new again, thanks a bunch!

Ben M.

January 2, 2015

The spring is pretty stiff, but not really a problem. There's a similar spring made from a different wire gauge, but I chose the heavier one. I'm using the curling iron and it's no problem. The screw that holds the spring in place was hard to turn and I rounded it a bit and I'll have to be extra careful the next time I have to remove it. The spring went into place easily. My model has a wire stand and I assembled it wrong the first time, then remembered how it went together.

I can't tell you what brand or model the curling iron is because it isn't identified. I bought it from CVS and that's the only identification there is. I selected a spring based on the dimensions of the broken spring.
