My curling iron is an older model, at least 10 to maybe 15 years old. It is a Helen of Troy Professional gold 1 1/2 inch says model 1006 on the label.
The spring (#1002) installed fine but verdict still out on the long term performance because it is very strong and the clamping is very tight...tighter than I remember it before and I’ve replaced the spring before with a spring from Sally Beauty. I ordered the right size spring. I’m thinking I should have ordered the weaker version. At any rate, for now it’s working okay but stronger than I would prefer.

I just want to thank you for the quick response sending the spring (#1005) for my Conair Curling Iron, Model CD82. It was easy to replace so I am all set to use it again. I had to remove the counter rest by just pulling it off gently, then unscrew the two screws on the side of the "spoon." I could then remove the broken spring by partially unscrewing the plate that held the spring in place. I then put the new spring in its place and reversed all the steps I had done before. Good as new! Thanks again!

I have 2 hot n silky have had them for years. I love it, only issue I have had with them is the spring breaking an it's easy to replace. I so glad I was able to get springs I will be a repeat customer.

It works great!! Thank you for the detailed instructions on how to take the curling iron apart and measure the spring!! I have thrown away so many curling irons just because the spring broke and didn't have any idea that I could replace it!! And I use a 5/8" curling iron, which they don't make anymore, evidently!! So I need to hold on to the one I have!

I bought 3 springs for my Conair Infinite Pro. Model #CD107TPC . The springs were # 1005, 1 inch.
They work great and were easy to install.
I love my curling iron and it's nice to know i can fix it myself. Very easy to do, no problem. Would recommend to my friends and family.

I found your website while searching for curling iron replacement springs. I could not find my exact brand and model number but I found some that were close. I ordered two of the 1005 1" springs and they arrived within the stated time frame. The spring fit our curling iron perfectly and we are very satisfied.

I have an Ion 1 1/2 inch curling iron that (thanks to y’all) I’ve had for 8+ years! I just ordered 3 spring replacements...I have used two or three so far but they’ve lasted quite some time...I use the iron almost every day. My husband doesn’t have any trouble replacing them and it’s so much cheaper than a new iron plus it’s seasoned the way I want it.

Put the new spring in curling iron and it works very well. Looking back I probably should have bought #1006 as it appears the ends of the spring are longer. After having this curling iron for about 20 yrs, I'm just happy I found something that works.
