Dear Shaun,
The curling iron replacement spring item #1004 was a perfect fit! When I installed the spring and handed the curling iron to my wife she said, "it hasn't been this solid in years". The curling iron is a Vidal Sassoon model VS101.

Hello Shaun,
It was so nice talking with you yesterday. I thought I would let you know that I was able to make the spring #1010 part work for my curling iron.
I had to cut down the extended prongs as I thought and then it fit right in.

Feedback:
Item# 1005 for curling iron Conair 1 ¼” model CD302CS
The new spring worked fine. You might also want to include or sell the small spring holder (“tunnel m” shaped) and its screw, as mine was bent after the original spring broke, “ making it harder to install the replacement spring.

My husband went to POst office and it was still there they did not send back was going later tonight. All good and spring is installed. Hope it holds up it was definitely better than paying 95 for a new iron.

The two prongs that fit into the holes are a little over a 16th of an inch longer on RO14 than on our unit. So I ground the ends of the spring until they were the same length as the original spring. Sanded the burrs of the ends and it fit very well. The roller on your spring hit the same spot as the plastic roller the old metal spring. The RO14 might be a little more narrow that the original, but only by a fraction of an inch.

I ordered the 1009 1-3/16” replacement spring for my Hot Tool 1” iron, model number 2181. It was easy to install and it works perfectly. I purchased 2 springs for $10 so this was so much better than paying $60 for a new curling iron. Thank you for quick shipping too!
